Japanese Green Tea / SENCHA

GYOKURO
HISUI

A type of shaded green tea, it translates as "Jade jewel" (It refers to the pale green color of the infusion.)

Produced in Yame, which has the biggest production of Gyokuro in Japan. Yame Gyokuro is known for its rich flavored.




Directions: Pour boiling water into a cup and let it cool to about 60 degrees. Fill a tea pot and let it steep for about 30 seconds.

MOEGI (standard)

Deep steamed green tea mis one of the categories of Sencha. It is steamed for a longer period of time than other senchas are. It has a darker, greener color and a rich, bold taste.
Produced in Yame, where it’s renowned for the production of Japanese tea. It has a rich and sweat with slightly bitter taste.

Directions: Pour boiling water into a cup and let it cool to about 70 - 80 degrees. Fill a tea pot and let it steep for about 30 seconds.

Japanese green tea is baked at a higher tempreture and has a reddish brown color. Hojicha has lower cafeine, and it is preferred by children, and the eldery. A rich in unique, yet natural flavor and aroma.
